Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of the International Federation for Falconry sports and Racing, the International Federation will participate in the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition ADIHEX from August 31 to September 8, 2024 at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi, with a record participation of a number of international entities specialized in the hunting and equestrian sectors in addition to the sustainability and environment sectors.
The participation of the International Federation in the exhibition’s activities stems from the role played by the Federation in the importance of being present at all relevant major events and activities, which opens the way for all participants to present their experiences and exchange their expertise and opinions, and come up with many outcomes and learn about the most prominent global developments and practices in this vital and important sector, especially since the exhibition witnesses the participation of an elite group of exhibitors at the regional and international levels.
The International Federation for Falconry sports and Racing’s sector includes a number of exhibits and various models related to its work over the past period, based on its activities during the sporting seasons full of championships and initiatives aimed at raising the level of falconry, establishing a culture of practicing it among age groups, and raising awareness of its principles, foundations, and noble values on a global level.
His Excellency Rashid bin Markhan, Secretary General of the International Federation for Falconry sports and Racing, stressed that the Federation is always keen to invest in various events and occasions to achieve its goals aimed at preserving the gains of falconry, and working to enhance its successes and double its achievements at all levels, in addition to enhancing the leading position of falconry globally, raising its level of competitiveness and confirming its distinction, which will benefit its progress and bright future. He pointed out the importance of the Federation’s presence in this major event, which highlights the cultural and civilizational heritage of the participating parties from various countries of the world, which confirms the necessity of the presence of the parties concerned with this type of sports in the exhibition to participate effectively in its events, and benefit from its outcomes, with the possibility of extending bridges of cooperation with exhibitors, and opening new channels for communication and joint work.
On the sidelines of its participation in the exhibition, the International Federation for Falconry sports and Racing is organizing a group of diverse workshops that include introductory aspects about the development of falconry, an explanation of falconry races using waving, and the basics of local falcon production in the United Arab Emirates.
