The Board of Directors of the International Federation for Falconry Sports & Racing, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, revealed that 4 entities from 4 different countries have gained membership in the International Federation and have actually joined the list of members, bringing the number to 15 members, after completing the procedures for acquiring sports membership in the Federation.

The International Federation for Falconry Sports & Racing stated in its statement that the applications for membership are successive in order to acquire membership in the Federation and participate effectively in the process of building a strong base for falconry at the global level that takes sustainability and the application of lofty sports principles and values as an approach to it, in light of the continuous efforts made by the International Federation since its establishment in December of last year, which witnessed the beginning of a new chapter in the institutional work of falconry globally.

The four countries that have recently joined the International Federation for Falconry Sports & Racing are 4 countries: China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Greece.

On this occasion, Rashid bin Markhan, Secretary-General of the International Federation for Falconry Sports & Racing, expressed his great happiness with this great progress and the remarkable interest of representatives of the authorities concerned with falconry around the world, to obtain membership in the International Federation, in an indication that reflects the keenness of countries to join the entities and agencies responsible for activities related to falcons.

Bin Markhan declared “Within the framework of the International Federation for Falconry Sports & Racing seeking to expand the base of falconry sports as much as possible within an ambitious plan and a clear future vision of the president and members of the federation, aiming for a

distinguished global future for falconry sports and racing and working on its sustainability, competitiveness and international empowerment by spreading its values, cultural heritage, and promoting the rules of its practice at all levels by using various methods, modern technologies, experiences and practices among practitioners of this sport in the countries of the world”.

Bin Markhan mentioned that the visit of the number of members in a short period of time is a good indication of translating one of the federation’s most important goals by consolidating relations between sports bodies and organizations concerned with falconry sports and racing at various levels internationally.
