On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of the International Federation for Falconry Sports and Racing, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Vice President of the International Federation, chaired the Board Members’ Meeting of the Federation, which was held yesterday, Monday, July 31, 2023 in  Abu Dhabi, via “Microsoft Teams”, with the participation of all representatives of the Federation’s Board members from 11 countries.

 

Sheikh Zayed welcomed the attendees and participants in the meeting and conveyed to them the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, he emphasized that the meeting of the international family of falconry sports and racing came to discuss the most important topics and initiatives launched during the first year of the establishment of the Federation in order to organize and develop this sport at all levels.

the Secretary-General of IFFSR, Rashid Mubarak Saeed Markhan Al Ketbi, presented the agenda of the meeting, as the Board members approved the Obtaining the statutes of the IFFSR, which was prepared based on the best practices and international standards in preparing the statutes of sports federations and compatible with international sports rules and laws.

 

The meeting also covered the file of the upcoming International Federation for Falconry Sports and Racing Cup, which His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum directed to organize recently, as it will be held in December of this year, as the first initiative launched by the Federation within the framework of its strategy to spread falcon sports and races globally, as they reviewed the racing system, participation mechanisms, regulations and technical.

Furthermore, the attendees were briefed on the file of the International Forum, which will be held next December as well, summarized in the global development of falconry sports and racing, creating a joint international discussion between various parties and people related to falcons on their opportunities and challenges, and reaching joint executive mechanisms aimed at facilitating and promoting ways to promote falcon sports and racing.

The meeting also discussed the plan of the training program for falconry racing by waving to the members of the Board members of the Federation and ways to enhance the level of all participants through the element of transferring experience to the participating international teams, and reviewing the latest practices and standards followed in these races, in a way that contributes to achieving the expected training return and applying it practically on the field when the championship is launched.
